First Service Corporation is a member of the Michigan Traveling Circus. Founded in 1938, the Michigan Travel Circus is composed of financial services vendors, Michigan Bankers, Association Presidents and Correspondent Bankers who support Michigan banking.

The Michigan Traveling Circus supports education in Michigan by providing college scholarships to students in the business and financial areas of study. The Michigan Traveling Circus hosts the Annual George Harding Scholarship Golf Outing to raise awareness of scholarships and their continuing support of education in Michigan. 

The George Harding Scholarship was founded in 1984 by the MBA and Michigan Traveling Circus to give scholarships to college junior, seniors and first-year graduate students majoring in Finance or Business studies. Applicants for the George Harding Scholarship must be a junior, senior or first-year graduate attending college in the state of Michigan, and majoring in business or finance studies. Since it began, the Harding Scholarship has provided $370,000 to Michigan Students.
